TMC Magic prevails Cong magic fails

Well well, just as the comrades were thinking the TMC magic is over specially after their Jadavpur rally, came the results of the assembly elections of five states, where the comrades were left empty handed while the TMC bagged 7 seats in Manipur. While it is true that the recent judgements made be our CM on the ongoing mishaps in the city has done some damage to the overall image of the govt as a whole, it is too early to comment that they have lost the support of the mass. Manipur election is just a proof of that. While congress has managed to form the government there, their overall result was not upto their expectations , especially in UP as it was clear from Rahul Gandhi's words.
. "I own the responsibility for this...This is one of my defeats and I take it in my stride," said the young Congress General Secretary who extensively toured Uttar Pradesh and addressed over 200 rallies during the month-long campaigning. Clearly his 'magic' did not work there as also his decision to venture the election alone. Now is the time they understand the importance of TMC as their largest ally and prepare for 2014 election as their image has already been tarnished owing to the endless scams which the congress and its allies has been involved with. Gandhi said he was trying to "improve the political system" of the country and his work would continue irrespective of today's electoral result. Well Mr Gandhi you'd better tell your mom to improve the 'political system' of your party first, then dream of improving the 'political system' of the country.  Else we the people of India will 'improve the political selection of a party' , be careful.

Same Side

It seems our CM is running through a hard time for the last few weeks. It all started with giving instant judgement on the park street rape case saying 'it is a fabricated case' and her police commissioner reciprocated her saying 'it was done to tarnish the image of the newly formed govt'. Later on both were proved wrong. Same judgement came from our CM once again when a woman was allegedly raped on train
in katwa of Burdwan dist. She also said  "If there is any attack on women the police should take action. If police does not take action they should be criticized,"
Now this is strange enough if she is saying attack on women should be taken care of, why does she have to make any judgement before the police or the administration solve the case and submit the report? May be she is still suffering from her opposition hangover.
Today when  star ananda was praising her steps to stop strikes and all, didi's brothers (saw a sister in the news channel) intercepted and assaulted their youngest reporter. whoa, didi that was surely a same side goal. To make things worse she claimed the incident to be fabricated once again and that the channel is doing all these to raise its TRP.
Well, didi let me tell you one thing, we the people of Bengal is behind the channel's TRP.It has a high TRP because we watch it, we are not retards, but if u keep on making these judgements before investigation i am afraid your TRP will go down. Remember it is because of the swing of the votes of some neural people like us your 'sadher poriborton' was possible. OK, even if we consider star ananda is fabricating things for its TRP, let the police investigate the matter, why make judgements before investigation?  The things which you are doing right now like football player's giving a same side goal. This will only tarnish your hard earned image. Please take care of the situation before it results to be suicidal.

We've got strike

For the last 34 years these pictures were common in Kolkata during a strike and a strike meant another lazy day back at home. People would not have dared to get outside their homes if it was called by the then ruling left front alliance led by cpm. With the much hyped 'poriborton' the changed Bengal government is trying to bring about 'changes' one of which is definitely their stand against the strike which they used to call themselves when they were in opposition. They realized their 'mistakes' and is now trying to 'rectify' it

by standing against strikes. Now, what is a strike. A strike may be defined as is a work stoppage caused by the mass refusal of employees to work. Now why would the employees refuse to work? Strikes are sometimes used to put pressure on governments/company administrations to change policies to their favor.
The strike tactic has a very long history. Towards the end of the 20th dynasty, under Pharaoh Ramses III in ancient Egypt on 14 November 1152 BC, the artisans of the Royal Necropolis at Deir el-Medina organized the first known strike or workers' uprising in recorded history. The event was reported in detail on a papyrus at the time, which has been preserved, and is currently located in Turin. 3164 years after that incident in a place called India we are about to face another such event. Eleven central trade unions, including INTUC, BMS, CITU, AITUC, UTUC, AIUTUC, HMS, TUCI and NLO will participate in the Feb 28 general shut-down, demanding steps for controlling the rise in prices of essential commodities and creation of more employment opportunities. Now, can a strike control price rise? can a shut down create job opportunities? This politics of shutdown and strikes have crippled the state for the last 35 years we have seen. Now some people will say the employees have the right to strike, fine, In the same way it can be said a person with severe illness/injuries/in an emergency situation has the right to be taken to the hospital (we have seen ambulances facing problems during a strike), a traveler/tourist has the right to get out of the airport/railway station and reach their destination after a long and tiring journey, even an employee has the right to stand against a strike (It firms were under attack previously), not to mention the loss incured during such a strike. So should we still stick to the strikes or try to find a better alternative? Well , you be the judge.
